Sleeping configuration: both boats have a double bed and a comfortable (double bed) Futon. There is no wall between the, so a single boat is not suitable for two couples if they want privacy at night. It does suit couples, small families, or good friends.
TWO couples or families? Rent both boats and share in the amenities of the resort together. The boats are close together, but provide complete privacy once you are inside. Have drinks or a grill party on the big upper deck. Hang out around the pool, party at the Tiki bar--relax and enjoy!Boaters: Bring your boat! Use the boat ramp to launch your boat and tie up to your houseboat or if you have a large boat, use one of our moorings at the nearby anchorage..
Fishermen: This is a fabulous area for fishing the mangroves for snook and tarpon. Try our "stealth" kayaks that pedal with the feet and leave your hands free to haul in that big one! A five minute paddle puts you in some of the best light tackle fishing in the Keys.
Divers and snorkelers: In addition to Pennekamp, which is on Key Largo, this central location is a short drive to the Biscayne Marine Park.

Try the new Hobie Kayaks for great excercise and more fun! If you've been wondering about these kayaks, but don't want to spend the $1500-2000 to try one, here's your chance! These boats offer a great opportunity to get some serious exercise--or just use the incredible leg power to cruise effortlessly. Fishermen: These boats are especially good for flats fishing or poking around the mangroves. Some of the very best spots in the upper Keys are within less than 10 minutes paddle from the boats. The fish below was caught using the Adventurer model fishing kayaks.
Couples: the tandem pedal kayak offers a terrific feature--you do not have to coordinate your pedaling. This makes for a very relaxed and enjoyable trip. No more clanging of paddles!
Beginners: these kayaks are very easy to operate if you have never done this before. They feature a small rudder that you simply point with your finger in the direction that you want to go. You can paddle if you want to, but once you get used to it, you will probably stow the paddle for good!
